The Canadian Women’s Foundation welcomes Julie Neubauer of Covenant House Toronto and Krystal Snider of YWCA Niagara Region to share their experiences of adapting housing services to meet the needs of trafficked persons.
On this webinar, we will explore how shelters can build on their strengths to serve clients who have experienced trafficking by hearing from agencies that have put considerable effort into adapting the services they already provide. Julie and Krystal will share experiences and lessons learned, and attempt to answer questions about emerging best practices in this area of work.
This webinar builds on conversations about what works in housing for trafficked persons in Canada that took place during the National Anti-Trafficking Forum (co-organized by Canadian Women’s Foundation and Public Safety Canada, March 2016) and regional roundtables on anti-trafficking initiatives in Nova Scotia and Ontario in 2015 (organized by Canadian Women’s Foundation).
